Reflections on the Heart of Man
We look upon our desires
Satisfying our own personal needs
In search of what can be gained
And how to achieve it
Not a day goes by
Where our thoughts seem so far away
Worried, concerned, anxious or grieved
How will I make it?
Who will help me?
Crying continuously
Unresolved measures
The same steps repeatedly are taken
Ultimately you decide to listen
Recognizing your way
Kept leading you astray
Now you understand
Every decision you made without God
Spiraled out of control
Through it all His patience and Love
Never ceased
It drew you directly towards Him
“Therefore I tell you, stop being worried or anxious (perpetually uneasy, distracted) about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, as to what you will wear. Is life not more than food,
and the body more than clothing?
Matthew 6:25 AMP
Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow [seed] nor reap [the harvest] nor gather [the crops] into barns, and yet your heavenly Father keeps feeding them. Are you not worth much more than they?
Matthew 6:26 AMP
And who of you by worrying can add one [l]hour to [the length of] his life?
Matthew 6:27 AMP
